Angelika Richter,
born 1971 in Dresden, works as art historian and curator in Halle (Saale) and Berlin. She studied Art History, Philosophy and German Studies in Tübingen and Berlin. From 1997 to 2001 she planed and realised independent exhibition projects as well as video and film presentations in Berlin and within the international art context. From 2001 to 2003 she worked as International Exhibition Coordinator for the Liverpool Biennial 2002, UK. Since April 2003, she is the Art and Managing Director of Werkleitz Gesellschaft e.V., Centre for Art and Visual Media, Saxony-Anhalt, Halle. From 2003 to 2004 she was head of the 6th Werkleitz Biennale Common Property / Allgemeingut. She publishes in exhibition catalogues, is a lecturer and member of different juries.
